Preaching & Teaching

Opening God's Word. Pointing people to Christ.

Biblical preaching should do more than inform the mind. It should reveal Christ, transform the heart, strengthen faith and call people to obedience.

My preaching convictions

What I believe preaching must do

My desire whenever I preach is to handle God's Word faithfully, communicate it clearly and help people understand how Scripture speaks into their everyday lives.

Biblical

God's Word is the foundation and authority of Christian preaching.

Christ-Centered

Every message should ultimately point people toward Jesus.

Practical

Biblical truth should move from the pulpit into everyday life.

Spirit-Dependent

Preaching requires more than preparation; it requires dependence upon the Holy Spirit.

Missional

The preached Word should move us toward worship, discipleship, witness and service.
