Statement of Faith
My faith is centered on Jesus Christ, grounded in the authority of Scripture and dependent upon the transforming and empowering work of the Holy Spirit.

I believe in one God who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit — distinct in person yet one in divine nature.

I believe God the Father is the Creator and sustainer of all things, holy, sovereign, loving, righteous and worthy of all worship.

I believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully human, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the Father and reigns as Lord and King.

I believe humanity is separated from God by sin and that salvation is God's gracious gift received through faith in Jesus Christ — not by works or human merit.

I believe Christ's death on the cross accomplished the atoning work necessary for the forgiveness of sin and reconciliation with God, and I believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ and the transforming power of the risen Christ.

I believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and is actively at work in the world and in the Church — convicting, regenerating, sanctifying, guiding, empowering and equipping believers for Christian life and ministry.

I believe the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to believers for the building up of the Body of Christ and the advancement of God's mission. These gifts should be exercised biblically, responsibly and in love, and the fruit of the Spirit should be evident in every believer.

I believe God is sovereign over healing and that Scripture teaches us to pray with faith for those who are sick and afflicted. God continues to heal today according to His will and purpose.

I believe the Church is the Body of Christ, both universal and local. Every believer has a place and a responsibility within the Body, and the Church is called to worship God, make disciples, care for people, equip believers and proclaim the Gospel.

I believe Jesus Christ will personally, visibly and triumphantly return. The return of Christ should motivate believers to live faithfully, hopefully and missionally.

I believe the Great Commission belongs to every believer and every local church. We are called to take the Gospel to our communities, our nation and the nations of the world. The Church exists not only to gather but to go.

I believe in the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, the reality of heaven and the reality of eternal separation from God. Our eternal hope is found in Jesus Christ.

My theological posture
I hold these convictions with deep respect for Scripture and with humility toward the mystery of God. My desire is not merely to defend what I believe, but to live what I believe.
I recognise the importance of theological alignment with Open Bible Churches and am committed to pursuing its ministerial credentialing process and understanding its doctrinal convictions.
